Volusia County EVENTS

Volusia County NEWS

Maybe a little outside of Volusia County, but if you haven’t been to downtown St. Augustine’s Night of Lights, then you have got to go!! The 31st Annual Nights of Lights dazzles with more than three million lights adorning every corner of the historic district for two months.

This award-winning holiday lights display runs from Saturday, November 23, 2024, to January 26, 2025, in historic St. Augustine. During the seasonal display, businesses downtown stay open later, letting you dine with a view of the lights and browse the shops in the decorated buildings.

The trains and trolleys offer special seasonal tours that take you through the most lit up areas, and there are also a variety of specialty tours — everything from walking to electric cart tours, golf carts, and even tours to see the lights from the water and the air.

WHAT WE’RE LOVING THIS WEEK

Christmas Eve-Eve, Monday December 23rd enjoy live music, shopping and a bonfire at the Tomoka Outpost (inside Tomoka State Park).

Join us at Tomoka Outpost on Christmas Eve-Eve (December 23rd) for a Riverside Live Music and Bonfire from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
This will be a relaxing evening with a majestic atmosphere. Noelle Valdez will be performing live music which will be a chill vibe with holiday music mixed in throughout the night. We will have a bonfire going for you to sit around to stay warm and relax before your Christmas plans.
This is the perfect opportunity to finish last-minute Christmas shopping. Tomoka Outpost offers many unique gift items including locally made goods.
Sodas, beer, wine, coffee and hot chocolate will be available for purchase. **NO OUTSIDE (personal brought) ALCOHOL WILL BE PERMITTED including personal drinkware.**
Bring a picnic to enjoy at one of our picnic tables. (If we have enough interest in this event we may book a food truck. We will post if we decide to do this.)
This event is our gift to the community (from Scott & Ashley Cornelius). We hope that you, your family, and friends will join us for a night of relaxation before the Christmas fun begins!
Regular park entry fees do apply. ($4 for an individual and $5 for a vehicle with up to 8 people) Also, keep in mind that the park closes around 5:30 this time of year so be sure to get there before the park closes otherwise you will need the annual park pass with the gate code to get in.
